STAGE ONE: THE AUDIT

It starts with an audit. Where the work actually goes.

We go inside the business and follow a real job through it, with the people who do it. What happens, in what order, who touches it, in which tool, and where it stalls. Then we hand you the transformation plan.

From £2,000, one off, priced by how many people work there.

A separate product, yours to keep. It is not credited against anything and you owe us nothing afterwards.

WHAT IT COSTS

from £2,000, one off

You know the number before you book. Find your size in the table and that is the figure on the agreement.

AUDIT PRICE BY HEADCOUNT
Your sizeThe Audit
5 to 10 people£2,000
11 to 20 people£3,000
21 to 35 people£4,000
36 to 50 people£5,000
  • The price follows the number of people we interview and the number of processes we map. You know it before you book.
  • It moves at your pace. Most of the work is us talking to your team, so it takes as long as your diary takes. We do not put a date on it and then blame you for it.
  • It stands on its own. It is not credited against anything, you owe us nothing afterwards, and you are free to take it to another builder.
  • It is where a transformation starts. We will not price a transformation we have not understood, so this comes first. The exception: if you already know you want a website or an app built, that is a separate piece of work with its own scoping call, and it does not need an audit.

What you walk away with

Four documents, and they are yours.

Whatever you decide afterwards, these leave with you. Build them with us, build them yourself, or hand the lot to another builder. The Audit is a separate product and it is not credited against the implementation.

The Roadmap

What to build, in what order, and why. The transformation plan for the months ahead, whoever ends up building it.

The Gap

Where you are now against where you could be, written down so the opportunity is hard to unsee.

The Quick Wins

Two or three moves worth making straight away, most of them before anything gets built at all.

The Upside

What the leaks are costing you, and what sealing them is worth. The number that makes the rest of it easy to decide.

The sequence

How the Audit actually runs

Seven steps, in this order. The heavy part in the middle is deliberately kept off your diary, because the usual reason a business never gets audited properly is that nobody can spare the afternoons.

  1. 01

    You and us

    We agree the price first

Based on the size of your business, from the table above. Nothing starts until that is signed off.

  2. 02

    Us, in person

One of us comes to you and interviews the owner

This is the part that cannot be delegated, because the things that matter are usually the things nobody has written down.

  3. 03

    Us

We brief our specialist audit agent

Everything we learned in that room is handed over to it.

  4. 04

    The audit agent

The agent interviews the rest of your team

On our behalf, in their own time, and in a more relaxed setting than sitting across a desk from a stranger. We tell it exactly what to ask and exactly what a good answer looks like, and it handles the rest. Nobody has to book a meeting or clear an afternoon.

  5. 05

    Us

    We build the four documents

We take everything it gathered, and we write the Roadmap, the Gap, the Quick Wins and the Upside.

  6. 06

    Us and you

We come back and hand it over

A second call, where we walk you through what we found and what we recommend, show you every document, and hand it all over.

  7. 07

    You

You decide whether to work with us

Completely up to you, and the audit is yours either way.

No date on any of it. Most of the work is us talking to your people, so it moves at the speed of your business rather than a schedule we invented. What we will not do is put a deadline on the page and then hold you to it.

The fair questions

Why pay £2,000 for the Audit before anything is built?

Because it is the work rather than a pitch. We go inside the business, interview your people and hand you the transformation plan, and you keep it whatever you decide next. It is a separate product with its own price, so nobody is paying for a sales process dressed up as a diagnosis.

We tried AI and it did not stick.

It rarely sticks because a tool gets dropped on a process nobody redesigned, and then nobody owns it. We design with the people doing the work, and we are still in the business every month afterwards. Adoption is the deliverable, not the hope.

Our client data is confidential and we are regulated.

Nothing leaves your control by accident. Access is set per person, hosting is in the EU under UK GDPR with a processing agreement, and nothing goes out in your name until a named person has approved it. In regulated work it usually tightens things rather than loosening them: no more client details pasted into somebody’s personal ChatGPT account.

What if the audit finds there is not much worth building?

Then that is what it says. Some of what we find turns out to be a process problem or a tooling problem rather than an AI one, and writing that down plainly is worth more to you than a roadmap padded out to justify the invoice. You keep the four documents either way, and you go into the next decision knowing where the business actually stands.

Understand it first, then build it.

The Audit is where the path starts. What it finds becomes the implementation, and what gets built becomes the partnership that keeps it running.
