Quotes going out the same day, and invoices that chase themselves
An owner-run contractor doing domestic rewires, commercial fit-out and landlord certificate rounds. Enquiries arrived by email, phone and the website and were answered when somebody got to them, often days later. Quoting was done in the evenings off paper survey notes. Certificates lived in a shared drive nobody trusted, and the owner personally chased every overdue invoice because nobody else wanted to.
Five areas in the app: enquiries, quoting, jobs and vans, invoicing, certificates. Plugged into their job system, their accounts package and the office inbox.
A worked example, not a delivered client project. Modelled on a real build shape and on published UK trade benchmarks for quoting and payment cycles. The before figures are the kind a two-week timing exercise produces at the blueprint; the after figures are what the workflows are designed to reach.
